Our commitment to the future
Preparing for 2085 and beyond

Innovation begins with free thinking
Since our founding in 1885, TANAKA has delivered precious metals to the world in various forms, including industrial material, raw material, and assets such as bullion, coins and jewelry.
Precious metals, with their excellent characteristics and properties, are essential for affluent lifestyles and the development of society. Our mission is to unlock the full potential of precious metals and contribute to a better future. In fiscal 2021, we took a leap toward the future by launching the TANAKA Renaissance Plan with the ultra-long-term corporate management goal of a sustainable society by 2085, the 200th anniversary of our founding. To achieve this, every employee must innovate and think for themselves. We summarized this idea in a booklet “ THINK30”, which is shared throughout the company as we strive to strengthen our corporate culture.
Each of us shapes the future
How will we shape the future? As part of this journey, TANAKA has launched the “Future Design Division”. It serves as the driving force behind the TANAKA Renaissance Plan, promoting innovation towards the envisioned future. By encouraging each employee to think and act proactively to create a future that no one has ever seen, it fosters a corporate culture where everyone works together to explore the potential of precious metals.
DOCK2085 future vision room
TANAKA Mirai Lab, which conducts practical activities within the Future Design Division, has established a concept room, “DOCK2085”, at the head office as its activity base. In addition to creating "Future Scenarios" that envision the global environment in 2085 and predict areas such as food, medical care, and industry, the lab is tackling environmental and social issues through research, development, and collaboration with engineers in various fields, striving to create a sustainable future.
