Supporting sport for persons with disabilities
Parasports are sports designed for people with a disability; regular sports with rules and equipment appropriately adapted for people with a disability; and sports that can be played by people with or without a disability.
Sharing the sport for persons with disabilities philosophy of challenging oneself and fulfilling one’s potential, we continue to support sport for persons with disabilities, participate in volunteer activities, and contribute to the development of a society where everyone can participate.
Tokyo Marathon and Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon
TANAKA has crafted the medals awarded at the Tokyo Marathon every year since it began in 2007. With the aim of "realizing a comfortable and prosperous society," we will continue to produce medals using precious metals and actively support the promotion of sports.
Kosen Robot Contest (known as Robocon)
TANAKA supports future engineers in Japan. Since 2012, we have sponsored "Kosen Robocon," an annual educational tournament in which students from technical colleges across Japan create robots to tackle particular challenges in local competitions and winners advance to a national final.
